These terms of service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Ownset application (ownset.io), published by STARTWISE S.à r.l. By creating an account, you accept these Terms.
Ownset is a property-management tool (tracking expenses, documents, contracts, energy, value and net worth of properties). The service is provided online, by subscription.
Access requires the creation of an account. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You must be of legal age and have the legal capacity to subscribe.
• The service is offered under two plans per property: Essential (€9.99/month or €99/year) and Premium (€19.99/month or €199/year). • Free trial: new accounts benefit from a 7-day free trial giving access to Premium features. At the end of the trial, the chosen subscription becomes payable; without a subscription, access to paid features ends. • Payments are handled by Stripe, acting as Merchant of Record (the official seller): Stripe collects the payment, applies the VAT due and issues the invoice. • Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically at each term (monthly or annual) until cancellation. • Founding-member pricing: early subscribers may benefit from a preferential rate maintained under the conditions announced at the time of subscription.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your management area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; your access to paid features remains active until that date. Periods already begun are not refunded, except where mandatory legal provisions require otherwise.
In accordance with the regulations applicable to European Union consumers, you generally have a 14-day withdrawal period for contracts concluded at a distance. However, for a digital service whose performance begins, at your request, during this period, the right of withdrawal may end once the service has been fully performed. The 7-day free trial lets you evaluate the service without commitment before any payment.
You undertake to use Ownset in line with its intended purpose, not to attempt to access it in an unauthorised manner, and not to disrupt its operation. You are responsible for the data you enter and for respecting the rights of the people you invite or whose information you record.
Ownset is a management-support tool. The information it produces (values, net worth, capital gain, projections, artificial-intelligence analyses) is provided for guidance only and does not constitute financial, legal, tax or investment advice in any way. In particular, value and capital-gain estimates are indicative and expressed before tax; taxation depends on your situation and is a matter for your own advisers. You remain solely responsible for your decisions. To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damage arising from use of the service.
We strive to ensure the availability and continuity of the service, without guaranteeing the absence of interruption. Maintenance operations or causes beyond our control may temporarily affect access.
The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
We may modify these Terms. You will be informed of substantial changes; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These terms are governed by Luxembourg law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In accordance with European regulations, consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute-resolution platform.
